Hello ♡
So last month I won tickets to go to the DCODE Fest in Madrid where Sam Smith was going to sing.
For those who don't know the DCODE Fest is a festival that takes part every year in Madrid with a long list of bands and solo artists.
This year Sam Smith was included into the lineup, something curious because Sam is not the kind of music artist that usually goes into this fest but oh well, it was his first time in Spain though first I wasn't going to go, I participated in a Pepsi promo and bam I suddenly found myself in a train to Madrid on a Saturday morning.
I was buzzing to go to see Sam because I like his music so much and the way he makes me feel, so I took like a day off in Madrid while I was waiting until Sam's time, it was a great day since I spent time with my mum walking around, must say Madrid isn't one of my favourite cities but still have some charming places.
I put myself into the perfect outfit, since Sam is a chill singer I wanted to go with a dress because I love to wear dresses and coincidence or not I had bought a beautigul one a few days before. So I decided to wear:
- White crochet dress from Topshop
- Black Converse
- White flower crown from Claires
On my way to the fest I checked twitter for some last minutes updates and my surprise when I saw a recent tweet saying Sam wansn't feeling well and had a throat infection and he wouldn't be able to sing.
I could do a big list of emotions that went through my person but that would be such a boring thing and I prefer not to remember how I almost break down in the middle of the street. So I went into the fest to see how it looked like but I wasn't feeling fine at all because I only liked Sam from the lineup so after I recomposed myself we decided to go out of there and go to see a football match since Barça was playing against Atletico.
A shot note on the dcode, in my opinion this fest is the kind of you go with your friends to get drunk or not and dance like crazy but not if you would like to see some artist in such a close up way, the prices of the food was ridiculous, and the you can't go in and out if the place and you have to stay the entire schedule from 11am to 4am so a bit insane.
Had such a weird experience and I hope it won't happen ever again, anyway it can be recommended to live a festival experience, that ends up better than mine!!
Another time I guess, talk to you soon!
-Love,
